Be upfront and honest from day dot and see how far that gets you! Our industry is tainted with the stigma attached to dishonesty. That’s mainly part due to the guessing game we have to play at the beginning of most of our transactions. If you were to take the game away and have an upfront transparent conversation with agents in regards to how much you want for your house and what are the most important things that matter to you, then you’ll find very quickly that a good agent will be able to put forward the best possible strategy to get the best price.

Which then leads into the second part to this… Do as we say! So long as the agent has a strong track record and there is a somewhat level of trust, then let them do their job! The jobs where our clients let us lead as the specialist/professional in our own industry, are generally the jobs we completely knock out the park. We love doing it and our clients love the return from it. It’s a no brainer! Just let the professionals do what they do best.
Remember this, 99% of agents are driven by their EGO! We aren’t looking for a quick sale, that doesn’t get us anywhere! We’re looking at setting records and beating our chest about it! Give us the chance to do so and we’ll do everything we can to make sure it happens. After all the transactions, all the commission and all the clients we deal with… we still understand that each individual house, in most cases, is someone’s biggest asset and the job we are appointed to do isn’t a small thing.
