When you’re selling or renting your property, your general dealings are with the agent. If you’ve interviewed an agent and they have proved to you that they are the one who will not stop until you get the very best price for your property, then all they need from there is basic infrastructure for them to do their job.

With access to or the same real estate portals (websites) such as realestate.com.au and domain.com.au, accounts with all the major print media companies and access to all the social media apps, the playing field has evened out. At the end of the day, a new company putting a property to market will have the same reach as an older company. The buyers looking in the market aren’t loyal to an agent, they are there to purchase a property and will search through all the different mediums provided to find what they’re looking for. Passive buyers that are in databases can generally be reached via social media or print media and in most cases, there are more than enough buyers to capture an amazing price.

We are a new business, so we’ve had to go through a little bit of push back when it comes to this. Though it hasn’t hindered us too much and we’ve been able to win plenty of listings and set many records. Our experience, far surpasses many of our competitors and that is proven every time someone trusts us with their biggest asset.

Focus your energy on the agent and list with the person you feel is going to go out to battle for you. So many agents hide behind the brand of the business, that sometimes they forget that they’re the ones selling the property. More inexperienced agents have to use the brands to get by, though don’t ever count out an agent who doesn’t have years under their belt. If they know what they’re doing, they will be hungrier than most agents out their and you want to exploit that hunger. That’s the same for the agents in a new business. There is less room for error as a newer agency is building a reputation. Experienced on inexperienced, agents from a new agency will be the hungriest of them all as they go out day after day building a new brand and protecting it by achieving stellar prices and providing optimal service.
