Sales

Is a team better than a single agent?

It is becoming more common for agents to run a team structure in their business. By doing so agents can specify different areas of the sale process in which they expertise. If you are thinking of using an agent who has a team, here are some factors for you to verify so that team works well for you.

Firstly, have a complete understanding of how the team is set out and who does what during the sale of your property. The way we run our teams are to have agents who primarily deal with our sellers providing a full all-round service to our vendors selling. We have our buyer specialists, who deal with all our buyers, they keep the finger on the pulse and in most cases, are already able to mix and match multiple buyers to all our new listings before we begin campaigns, this is beneficial as it creates competition from the beginning. The third area is administrational. This is the most vital of all. It is one of the reasons why single agents are so busy and it takes away from a lot of the service they can provide to both sellers and buyers. Strong administrational staff is vital to keep your agents doing what they’re best at all day long.

A well-run team is worth every penny and is your best opportunity to secure the best price possible for your property. If an agent presents a strong well-structured team, I would choose that every day over an agent trying to juggle everything this job throws at you in their own. The best part is a team will generally charge the same amount as a single agent or sometimes just a few thousand more. It’s worth every penny.
